Details: The Fire Post is a watch tower typical of America and Canada. It is used in the hot summer months to keep a watch on the woods because of the danger of a forest fire. It is constantly manned and incipient fires can be reported immediately so that it is often possible to combat them successfully. The partially aged and weather-resistant tower consists of a finely detailed timber frame, which gets narrower towards the top. The observation platform also has a wood struc-ture. The roof is made to look like corrugated iron. The platform is reached by means of finely modelled steps. Features PIKO G Buildings and Accessories are made primarily of an extremely tough, UV- and weather-resistant polycarbonate plastic material, with ultra fade-resistant color molded in. Many parts are also lightly weathered for a more realistic look.. Most kits include a tube of plastic glue, for buildings that will be used indoors.
